Time devours and multiplies us. The eyes are shut, but the spirit is restless. On top of four pillows, four video portraits of the same person “rest” together, decomposed by time. Sometimes they synchronise and, then again, they’re diverse fragments of the same oneself, repeated in continuous cycles. Are we awake for this experience?
This piece evokes once again the theme of unconscious body activities, as in Estrombo and Eyelid, and consists of an interactive video projected on four pillows, up to the audience’s interaction. The piece has a soundtrack mixing voice and piano, which repeats the text “A hora te devora” (“The hour devours you”), in several moods and intonations. The video shows the actress’ many facial expressions with eyes shut in a loop edition, which can be manipulated in real time, like a slot machine.
